the two-curve FARMHOUSE

Our first meeting with our wonderful clients in their existing home, led to a discussion about rebuilding with a nod to the original. The original form sits as an outline on which the new home is built. This home wraps around to protect from the brutal winds and opens to enjoy the baking sunshine. it is all about appreciating the weather!

Ultimately, this became a two-curve farmhouse with one vertical curve, softening the flow at the crossroads of circulation, and one horizontal curve, draping the ceiling over the dining and lounge.
